A Bit About Me
I come from a product design background where I've created brands from scratch and guided them through ideation, pivoting, scaling, and building international networks.
I worked in San Francisco for almost a decade with major retail brands such as Pottery Barn and Williams Sonoma. I've returned to my hometown of Sydney, ready for new challenges. I'm now focusing on aspects of the business that I'm passionate about: relationships, communication, presentation, and using technology to make life easier (not harder!).
My interest in brand identity and website design comes from the fact that they allow for the creation of a unique and cohesive visual language that represents a company or individual. I believe that visitors to your website are on a journey - some want shortcuts to get information quickly, while others (like you, I'm guessing!) are happy to take the scenic route, finding gems along the way. Regardless of the path taken, every interaction or touchpoint is an opportunity to communicate your brand values - I see my role as a guide to show the way.
Working With Me
1/ Introduction
I'm excited to get to know you and learn about your vision for the project. We can have a meeting in person if we're in the same town (I'm usually in Sydney) or a video call if we're remote. During this meeting, I'll ask you questions and really listen to your thoughts and needs. I'll also send you some questions to reflect on and help me understand the broader vision of the project.
2/ Proposal
After our meeting, I'll write up a brief and send you a proposal that includes the scope of the project, details of the number of concepts and revisions I'll provide, a timeline, fees, terms and conditions, and your project details. If you approve the proposal, I'll invoice the starting deposit and we'll get started.
3/ Design
My design process is collaborative, so we'll work together to develop the foundation of your brand. We want the visual identity to reflect your core values, brand voice, and positioning. I'll develop mood boards, colour schemes, and imagery for you to review.
I'll keep refining the concept until the design is just right.
4/ Implementation
This is where we get into the nitty-gritty of the process - designing the structure and implementing the chosen concept across brand touch points. We'll work together on content generation, making sure that the products, services, and profile you want to project are being communicated clearly.
5/ The end result
I'll hand over the resolved project for you to take the next steps. Congratulations!
